How the 2020 Elections Led To a Disastrous 2021, and How It Will Affect the 2022 Elections

When Joe Biden won the election in 2020, the political divisions in the nation didn't end. In fact, the electoral outcome almost couldn't be more divisive. After the dust settled, the Republicans were a four seat minority in the House, and the Senate was tied fifty - fifty, with VP Harris breaking the tie for the Democrats. Because the House Republican candidates got significantly more votes than Pres. Trump got, and other often tenuous reasons, he declared the election fraudulent. Because of his claims of fraud, he and his surrogates discouraged Republican turnout in the two Georgia runoff Senate races, losing them both to weak Democrat candidates. This was the political atmosphere leading into the new year of 2021.    Pres. Trump is a firebrand, not a politician. His governing style was reckless, but he had a talent for appointing people who knew how to accomplish his policy goals, most of the time. Before COVID struck, his policies were actually very successful, even

Why Everyone Should Keep an Open Mind About Jan. 6th.

We all have heard the familiar narrative that on Jan. 6th, 2021, a group of people broke into the Capitol, trying to overthrow the US government. It's almost a year later, and there is still so much evidence that has not been made public. The preponderance of what has been released so far has supported the predominant narrative, to be sure. Not surprising, since in this case, the perpetrators are supporters of Donald Trump. There is ample evidence of government security agencies previously trying to frame him for imagined crimes (see the Russia collusion hoax), and the media have been willing accomplices all along. These are among the reasons I am keeping an open mind about that day, regardless of the echo chamber pushing the "insurrection" theory. I will outline some further reasons in this post.   The first of many red flags was the concerted effort to blame it on Pres. Trump, and the rushed second impeachment , based upon his rally that day. For all of the claims abo

The Omicron Deception

Nothing about the reaction to this Omicron variant makes sense. Let's start with why the WHO decided to skip the next two Greek letters. To be honest, I don't recall any other variant names than Delta, so I'm obviously uninformed. Apparently, though, there have been enough COVID variants to go through a dozen letters of the Greek alphabet . The next two letters were Nu and Xi, which were bypassed in favor of Omicron, the fifteenth letter. According to the WHO, the letter Nu sounded too much like the English word "new," and the letter Xi is a common Chinese surname. This doesn't pass the smell test, as Xi is not that common a surname, ranking 296th in most common Chinese family names, and the distinction of a variant called Nu would soon be overshadowed by successive, newer variants. No, the more likely explanation is that there is one very important person in China that has the surname Xi, and that is the leader of the Chinese Communist Party. He doesn't w

The Green New Deal is a War on the Poor, With NO Climate Benefit

Why are some Democrats, including Sen. Joe Manchin , calling on Pres. Biden to open up the Keystone XL pipeline? Because shutting it has contributed to the current spike in energy prices is the politically obvious answer. However, there is a larger, more pertinent question to ask. Why do Democrats use climate change as an excuse to destroy the national economy? Pres. Biden's action against Keystone XL was just one aspect of the larger policy, driven by the far left wing of his party. He parrots their claim that there is a "global climate crisis" that demands we stop using all fossil fuels, without heed to the cost, or if there is a viable alternative.    Pres. Biden has rejoined the Paris Accords, which Pres. Trump wisely withdrew from. Nothing in the agreement will have any effect on the climate , and the US is one of the only nations that has been reducing greenhouse gas emissions on its own, both before joining the accords, and after withdrawing from them.
