The Biden Record, and The Democrats Who Supported It: A Series on Graffiti Politti, Pt. 1
President Biden has been in office almost two years, and his policies are on the ballot in the 2022 mid-term elections. This is why the Democrats, and the Biden administration are pulling out all the stops to change the focus to anything else. Donald Trump, Roe v. Wade, the Jan. 6th riot, and now any one who supports "Make America Great Again" are all being served up by the sweet on Democrat media. It's been working, at least for the last few weeks, as both Biden's and generic Democrats' poll numbers have been rebounding.
However, whether that will last another two months until the election is an open question. In this series of posts, we will examine the Biden record, and how the Democratic congressional majorities enabled his policies, for better or worse.
We will start with a look at COVID policy, especially as it relates to education, as well as education policy, in general. Beyond the school closures, the Biden administration has supported "antiracist" policies that are actually racist, and expanding Title IX protections to transgender people, to the point where they are depriving biological girls of opportunities, as well as privacy concerns regarding bathrooms and locker rooms.
We will look at the politicizing of the FBI and DOJ, branching out from it's intersection with education. We are all familiar with the FBI's meddling in the 2016 election, when Kevin Klinesmith, an FBI lawyer, was convicted of falsifying a warrant to the FISA court to spy on a Trump campaign aide. It looks as if they are up to their old tricks under Pres. Biden, but this time, they actually targeted parents of school children who were complaining at school board meetings. It sounds strange, but apparently AG Garland was involved, so this is no small thing.
We will look at the crisis on the southern border, and why Democrats in Congress can't curtail this ongoing policy disaster. Besides the unprecedentd number of illegals gaining entry into the US, the fentanyl crisis, and gang infiltration into US neighborhoods is destroying communituies across the nation. No community is exempt from this scourge, except perhaps those ultra-rich, lilly-white progressives that are pushing this madness on the nation.
Economic policy will be examined, and how the Biden administration ignored warnings about inflation, and Democrats in Congress passed an inflationary bill without a single Republican vote. We'll look at how gas prices were increasing long before Russia invaded Ukraine, and how Pres. Biden has shifted blame for what his economic policies have wrought to so many other things beside that war. Speaking of Ukraine, we will look at his clear falsehoods about his involvement in his son's business dealings. If he has been paid by corrupt foreign regimes in the past, how do we know that he is not being blackmailed by them, now?
The disastrous Biden foreign policy is yet another boondoggle that cannot be overlooked. From the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan to the insane attempts to appease the Iranians into a new nuclear "agreement," there are serious questions to be answered. The naval threat from China is the biggest challenge to the US since WWII, yet the Biden policy is to cut our naval forces, for the next several years. The administration's support for corrupt leftist authoritarians in Central and South America is also worth looking at, to say nothing of the way he has alienated our MidEast allies, Saudi Arabia and Israel, and perhaps blocked the burgoning rapproachment between them that was strengthened by the Abraham Accords.
We have to examine the authoritarian bent of this administration, and how many things they have done without a clear legal underpinning. There has been extensive commentary on this, from the right, but I will have to add my two cents, and summarize it. Further, I think that someone needs to collect his opposing quotes, and policies, and just lay it out for independent voters to see. When a president is making primetime speeches about the opposition party being "semi-fascist," it seems he doth protest too much. There are far too many examples of his administration acting in an authoritarian manner not to expose the hypocrisy.
I reserve the right to add some subjects I may have overlooked here, because the Biden administration is such a complete failure, across the board. However, I hope that I can put a spotlight on each and every area that these leftist politicians have harmed us, the people of the United States. Right now, people are just starting to think about if and how they will vote in the mid-term elections. There are still six weeks until then, and my intention is to stay focused like a laser on who got us into the mess our nation is in, and why they need to be voted out of office.
