HATE FROM THE MOUTHS OF CHILDREN: AUTUM (AUTUMN?) ASHANTE AND THE GAEDE TWINS

AUTUM ASHANTE

LAMB AND LYNX GAEDE

I hate to have to write this, but it has to be written. Beautiful children's minds are being corrupted with racial hatred, and their parents are profiting from it. The Gaede twins have a pop band, and Miss Ashante is a poetic prodigy. The parents promote their children's careers. These young girls are the true victims of racism, because they are predestined to continue this cycle of hate.

Autum Ashante (-or is it spelled Autumn Ashante?) is a 7-year old child, home-schooled by her parents (according to the
NY POST-free registration required- see below for more on this). I heard it reported on MSNBC that they are members of the Nation of Islam, but I can't confirm that elsewhere. This young lady gave a recital of her poem, "White Nationalism Put U in Bondage." Some excerpts:

"Black lands taken from your hands, by vampires with no remorse."..."They took the gold, the wisdom and all the storytellers. They took the black women, with the black man weak. Made to watch as they changed the paradigm of our village."... "Yeah white nationalism is what put you in bondage. Pirates and vampires like Columbus, Morgan and Darwin." (That's
JP Morgan, a famous "robber-baron," for those of you who went to public school. To be honest, I didn't get it right away, either.)

From the reporting of Tucker Carlson, I learned that she asked the Latino and Black students to stand, and specifically requested that the White students remain seated. The intent here was to promote "unity," after a day of riots between the two groups in the school. Now, I'm not 7 years old anymore, but the thought of healing divisions between races with common hatred of another race flies in the face of everything I was raised to believe.

The flip side of this coin are
the Gaede twins, who have a pop band called "Prussian Blue." These young ladies have been raised believing in "White nationalism." The Telegraph reports it this way: "Miss Gaede has brought her daughters up on racist beliefs using textbooks from the 1950s. She is separated from their father, who is said to have similar views and has a swastika on his belt buckle." I didn't bother trying to confirm this elsewhere, after my fruitless search for info on Autum's family.

An excerpt from their song "Aryan Man":

"When the man who plows the fields is driven from his lands. When the carpenter must give away what he's built with his own hands. When a mother's only children belong to her no more. And black masked men with guns come bashing down the doors. Where freedom exists for only those with darker skin. Where lies and propaganda will never let you win. Where symbols of your heritage are held with such contempt, and benefits of country 'cept tax are you exempt

Aryan man awake, How much more will you take, Turn that fear to hate, Aryan man awake."

Prussian Blue's popularity precedes their MSM exposure; their racist parents marketed them to the "White Power" fringe, which can make you some money, I guess. Ms. Ashante's parents have been promoting her since she was very young, listing almost 70 performances in this web post, when she was 5 years old. It also reveals that she wasn't "home-schooled" two years ago: "At only 5 years old, this small wonder is already in the second grade in school. She has been a constant member on the honor roll since pre-kindergarten days and speaks fluent Arabic and Swahili and is working on the Spanish language."

The fact that the MSM hesitate to call the Ashantes "racist parents" is attributable to what passes for tolerance these days. I'm not feeling tolerant right now. They are going to turn this young girl into a Black version of Prussian Blue, except that the White Liberal Media (aka MSM) are giving her parents a pass for twisting their daughter into another popular racial "bomb-throwing" poet. (She's been praised by Emiri Baraka, ex-poet Laureate of New Jersey, who blames Bush and Jews for 9/11)

The only silver lining in this story is that none of the actions of any of the people in this story are illegal in the USA. All of the parents are entitled to teach their children these beliefs, and I am free to say whatever I think about it, as well. Hate speech is the hardest thing to defend, but it must be defended, if it does not directly incite violence. There is no law to stop this; not any hate crimes law, or any hate speech law (as in Europe); any such law would be unconstitutional here.

This is both the problem with, and the promise of America. All three of these girls are still young, and I have hope that they will grow up to repudiate their racist upbringings. I will pray for the souls of these three children of God, as I do for all of us sinners who stray from His path.

PS: By "sinners," I mean ALL of us. I have no moral standing to condemn anyone in God's eyes. I'm just pointing out what's wrong with teaching children to promote racial hatred, and that Blacks are as susceptible to it as Whites are. I'll leave it to NYC Councilman Charles Barron to dispute that opinion. "You know, some days I get so frustrated I just want to go up to the closest white person and say, 'You can't understand this, it's a black thing,' and then slap him, just for my mental health." God bless him, 'cause he needs it at least as much as I do. Both the blessing and the slap, thank you.

UPDATE: Since I"ve been getting alot of comments about slavery on this post, I'm posting an excerpt from Dr. Thomas Sowell's latest column, Are Facts Obsolete?

Facts that go against preconceived notions are likely to be ignored, even by many scholars. For example, slavery is an issue that is widely discussed as if it were something peculiar to Africans enslaved by Europeans, instead of something suffered and inflicted around the world by people of every race, color, and religion.

Two books about more European slaves brought to North Africa than there were African slaves brought to America have been published in recent years. They are "
Christian Slaves, Muslim Masters" by Robert Davis and "White Gold" by Giles Milton. Both books have been largely ignored by the media and academia alike -- and the first went out of print, less than 6 months after being published.

Apparently scholars, as well as journalists, have made up their minds and don't want to be confused by the facts.

Nice post, it is my hope that I've raised my kids to be free from this type of garbage. I would be afraid to stand before the Lord at judgment time and tell him I had taught my children to hate some of His children. Again, very nice post, thank you.

It's ignorance (lack of information/knowledge) that would lead you to compare Autumn Ashante to the Gaede girls who are self-professed aryans. There was a such thing as slavery don't you know... and black men, women and children WERE kidnapped and taken to foreign lands, stripped of their clothing and put on auction blocks butt naked to be sold to the highest bidder. Their language was stricken from them (and now we wonder how in the world ebonics came to be), they weren't allowed music (and we wonder why rap is so prevalent), and they weren't even allowed to marry (and we wonder why fatherless children run rampant thru the ghetto). Autumn's poem is the socio-political reality of Black America sir, take a trip to the Robert Taylor Home [experimental] projects and you'll see that this young woman's poem isn't bigoted, but a picture painted with words of the reality of poor Americans of African and Latino (mix of Indian, African, and Spanish) heritage.

To pass judgement without factual information and actual experiencing the world thru another's eyes (even if it's by walking side by side with them, since you can never truly stand in another's shoes) is PREJUDICE in and of itself. Thus you are allowing yourself to be party to the same stereotypes, bigotry, and prejudices you profess to despise.

Knowedge of self is the key... open-mindedness is the way!

I am leaving Anonymous' comments up here to show everyone the typical liberal thought process. If this person had half a brain, they would know that Autum is not, and has never been enslaved. In fact, no Black has been legally enslaved in this country for almost a century and a half. Black Americans have created beatiful music for over a century before rap music came onto the scene. Black families were much more stable for the first century following emancipation, until the "great society" liberal reforms of the 1960's.

Autum's poem is a racist, bigoted piece of art that offends any person who seeks to heal the divisions between the races in this country.

Does anonymous think that things are still the same for Blacks today as they were under slavery? At my job, I serve a majority of Black customers. I always address them as "sir" or "ma'am," or "miss." Most of them are more affluent than me, which bothers me not a whit. I don't know Anonymous' background, but I was around during the race riots of the '60's and '70's. I have lived most of my life in racially integrated communities, and have experienced discrimination for associating with Blacks, even getting my tooth knocked out by a gang of high school racists who called me a "nigger lover." This is how I know racism. This is how I can call the poison put into the mind of this child RACISM.

Open your own mind, Anonymous idiot. Join the real world, and have the decency to put your own name on your foolish and misguided words next time.

First of all, the message that Autum is trying to convey in her poem IS NOT the same hate that those crazy twins are putting forth. The Gaede twins are claiming there was no Holocaust, they are claiming that everyone else who is not white is damaging the country AND they are supporting a violent and hateful organizing. Is that the truth and the ways of the world? Are they right? While they do that, Autum is observing history and telling it like it is. Columbus WAS a murderer. Those explorers DID come to North America (and South America and the rest) and colonize and kill and rape women and children. Are you insane to compare them? Obviously, Mister Educated Conservative, you haven't really paid attention to OR read what they are saying. Because if you did, then you wouldn't have made the mistake of putting them side by side.
CHRIS LEAV said…
It's fairly common knowledge that Blacks were enslaved by other Blacks before they started selling their own people to the Europeans.

The Blacks were every bit the murderers that Columbus was. How about Darwin? Was he a murderer also? What about her saying that things are the same today?

Maybe you think she's telling the "straight up truth," but you would be wrong.

I think that it is not wrong for a father to teach his daughter her black history. Everything that Autum has said is true. Why do some people want to pretend as if these horrible crimes that white people committed did not happen. Saying that blacks also participated in enslaving their own is true, but that would have never happened if the white man never came in the first place and presented the opportunity. I agree with Autum saying that it is still going on today. In the minds of MANY caucasians, African-Americans will never be anything more than second class.

I wish everyone would just keep all this in perspective. I don't think anyone argues the historical fact of what autumn wrote. By and large what she intimates cannot be disputed. I'm not here to convince anybody in any particular way. Even the Gaede twins might actually believe what they sing about. My question is this: Do you think either party actually understands what they write or sing about? Is 7 years of age old enough to develop and understanding of what was done to an entire race throughout history? Is (however old the Gaede twins are) old enough to develop that kind of hatred? Ultimately we as parents are responsible for what we teach our children. There is hatred laced throughout both examples. I don't know about any of you but I'm never teaching my children to hate in these ways. I believe our children grow into the example we set for them. If we teach them from our anger and hate over how we were treated as slaves then hate is what they will learn as they grow. The same goes for the other example. If we teach them that white men are supreme in their younger years that is probably what they will believe as they grow up. Some of history really sucks (slavery, segregation, etc... are colossal red marks in our history among other things). Let's not argue about whether these things are true. They are for the most part. Let's concentrate more on what we teach our children in their formidable years. One thing's for sure, teaching them how much we hate what happened will only teach them how to hate as is represented in these two examples. What happened in our past is just that, in our past. Let's just leave it there. This is not to say that I could care less what has been. On the contrary, as a white male I look back on that part of history with shame.

The previous comments were by another Chris, not me (Chris Leavitt).

I would beg to differ, though, about the truth of Autum's (and anonymous') words. Blacks were enslaved before the Europeans came to Africa. The Europeans came to trade, exploit natural resources, and eventually colonize. Why hadn't they enslaved other races they had traded and/or fought with? Because slavery had been reduced to indentured servitude in European culture.

The sad fact is that Africans were responsible for the Europeans' acceptance of slavery of a type that hadn't been seen in Europe since ancient times. Call it an early form of multiculturalism, where the Europeans not only absorbed the worst aspect of African culture, they mass produced it.

Further, I feel no particular "shame" for my race. I feel shame for humanity. That is what this post is about. I'm just as ashamed of Autum's as the Gaedes' parents, for raising their children as racists.

Some further notes to the latest "anonymous"

In Great Britain, Whites still have "classes" of people who feel uncomfortable together in anything other than a formal relationship.

The same is true inside the White, Black, and Latino communities here in the USA. Each culture has classes within it. No-one likes being treated like a "second-class citizen," but it can be done by anyone, not just a White person. I've experienced this from people of many races. Get over it.

You cannot control how someone else feels about you. You can only control your own reactions to this perception. Your actions will determine how you are perceived by others.

Slavery is a crime in the USA. It still exists, even within our borders, but is miniscule here compared to what still goes on in Africa, the Middle and Far East.

Yep, slavery sucked we all know that but the majority of white people refuse to acknowledge that black people continue to suffer from the after effects of slavery. You can't really blame them for not understanding it's simply from not growing up black or coming from a black mindset. No matter how many black people you know or how many times you've encounter "racism" You do not know racism from the african amercian standpoint you are not discrimnated against on a daily basis only when you are with your black friends you do not walk into a store alone or apply for a job alone and be discrimnated against solely based on the darkness of your skin. I'm proud to know that Autumn Ashante is the future of this country. Never in her poem does she say all white people are devils she only tells history, Columbus enslaved African AND NATIVES. The spaniards tryed to enslave natives before africans, in fact before they had ever been to Africa but the natives succumbed to the eurpeans disease to easiley so they tried africa where a from of slavery as brutal as that in the american south did not exist rather a system of indentured servants. J.P. Morgan aquired his wealth by exploiting black people and slavery. Darwin openly preached that black people were scientifically inferior. That sounds like 3 racist whites to me doesn't it. Three people who deserve to be buryed in unmarked graves. Black's and "Colored" latinos continue to be exploited on a daily basis why do you think they are behind white people in every thing except for crime & death rates, Not because of our own culture, because of the after effects of slavery and still ever prevalent insituitinalized racism. just look black and white up in a dictionary notice the difference.

Chris, you have some issues, obviously. Autum said that "white people are devils," though not in her poem. That is racism. Slavery has been around much longer than the period that Europeans practiced it on the Africans. I'm not going to defend Darwin, who came to his conclusion through what he thought were scientific methods, or J.P. Morgan, who exploited people of all races to get his fortune. That they may have been racists does not diminish their accomplishments, though it does diminsh their character, and their moral standing.

You don't see me condemning all Blacks as mass-murderers for the periodic genocides committed in contemporary Africa. Why not? Because, like all HUMANS, there are good people and bad people in any racial group. You can't hold any race responsible for the actions of any number of it's members, especially several generations after those actions.

PS: Do me a favor, and refrain from pasting long definitions of common words on this page. If you have a problem with the evolution of the English language, take it up on some other blog that actually mentions that. It is irrelevant to this post, and further comments along those lines will be deleted.
