2005 saw huge leaps in the battle against the ACLU, but there is much more to do. I hope to continue to put my two cents in by promoting STOP THE ACLU here at LEAVWORLD. (PS: I've been using Windows Paintbrush to alter these old drawings, along with a MS photo editor. The quality will improve when I install Photoshop on my new PC. This being a supposedly "slow" blog traffic week, I picked an old WorldNetDaily story from 11/04 to excerpt: There is overwhelming evidence that the Navy gave John Kerry either a dishonorable discharge or an undesirable discharge – which is the equivalent of a dishonorable discharge without the felony conviction – and that, as a result of such discharge, he was stripped of all of his famous but questionable Navy awards and medals. This Christmas, I have to say that peace on Earth is an achievable goal, and I believe we are working toward it. Christians, Jews, and Muslims will all live together in harmony with respect for each other, and other religions, as well as those with no faith at all. (That means you, ACLU!) The United States of America takes the lead in this endeavor worldwide, and at home (except for the misguided liberal multiculturalists-a large part of our society). Where else will the unity of mankind start from...OLD Europe? The U.N? NO, IT STARTS IN IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, AND OTHER PLACES RECENTLY LIBERATED FROM TYRANNY, SUCH AS "NEW" (FORMERLY EASTERN) EUROPE. I highly recommend this week's Thomas Sowell column , which was a perfect fit for this week's blogburst! Here is the relevant excerpt: Over the years, we have gotten used to the American Civil Liberties Union launching legalistic jihads against recognitions of Christmas, in between coming to the rescue of murderers and terrorists. The ACLU invokes that famous phrase about a "wall of separation between church and state" -- a phrase found nowhere in the Constitution but somehow considered to be part of Constitutional law. The Constitution forbad Congress from creating "an establishment of religion" but this was no mysterious concept known only to deep thinking legal scholars. NYC-TWU STRIKES! -with other union support ALL OF THESE (CWA, UFT, AND OTHER) UNIONS BACKING THE TWU STRIKE ARE FULL OF IT! AN EXAMPLE: THE LIRR HAD A "BREAKDOWN" BETWEEN WOODSIDE AND JAMAICA, FORCING PASSENGERS TO TAKE THE SUBWAY TO JAMAICA LAST FRI. NIGHT. IF THIS WAS DONE IN "SYMPATHY" WITH THE TWU (WHO ALSO HAVE HAD A HIGHER RATE OF SUBWAY "BREAKDOWNS" SINCE THE FIRST STRIKE DEADLINE PASSED), THEN THEIR UNION SHOULD BE PENALIZED UNDER THE LAW FOR THEIR COMPLICITY IN THIS ILLEGAL ACTION. HOW DARE THEY?! -And by "they," I mean the reporter I saw on ABC's "Nightline" tonight (12/19) questioning VP Cheney, and all of the other MSM who persist in exposing sensitive war intelligence decisions, and framing them as "civil rights" issues...how dare the NY TIMES publish something so secret that they "sat on" it for a year, until just before the USA PATRIOT act is coming up for re-approval, and the author of the story is about to release a book on the same subject as the story? This is not like Pres. Nixon spying on "enemies," nor comperable to any documented "abuses of power" by various presidents in the past.
