UNION PAYS WAL-MART PICKETERS LESS THAN WAL-MART PAYS EMLOYEES
This is an excerpt from the Oct. 10 National Review:
(I)n the Las Vegas area...the temp agency Labor Express...has some openings in unskilled outdoor work at $6 an hour. But the work is grueling: You have to walk up and down toting heavy signs in noonday temperatures of over 100 degrees...
Who is the unscrupulous employer taking advantage of minimum-wage labor like this? Why, it's...the United Food and Commercial Workers labor union, which needs people to man its picket lines at the local Wal-Mart.
This particular Wal-Mart store has a pay scale starting at $6.75 an hour, and the place is air-conditioned. So, if you do take that picketing job, you might want to take a break from work for a few minutes to dodge inside the store and fill out a job application...
TOO FUNNY!
Hat tip to the NY POST paper version, where I excerpted this from.
